Rainy Season (tsuyu)

It’s the rainy season again, the whole of June till early July or whenever it ends, what with the weather getting more unpredictable these pre- global warming days. It is as it was when I arrived a year ago. Time flies as seasons changed. It’s one complete cycle now, two more to go.
Nice cool weather though, more the misty, drizzling rain than the torrential tropical downpour back home in Penang. And there’s usually a nice break of a few good sunny, blue skied days in between a few wet ones. So it’s bearable I guess. The flora look nice and green, soaking up moisture, getting ready for the sweltering summer.
Summer is so overrated.
